SUMMARY:The Great London Yarn Crawl InterKnitty Express
DESCRIPTION:As part of this  year’s Yarn in the City Great London Yarn Crawl Super-Saturday\, the East London Yarn Triangle and Tribe Yarns present 4 guided tours of the remarkable London Borough of Wool! The ELYT tours will include trips to all 3 of Hackney’s wool shops\, Fabrications\, Knit with Attitude and Wild and Woolly\, with an optional extra leg on the Interknitty Express Train to Richmond’s Tribe  Yarns. \nYou will be  part of a group of ten knitters and crocheters with 2 local knitter guides\, well versed in the stories and hidden haunts of this characterful and historic part of London. The tours are each named after one of our favourite historical local heroines. Expect to hear more about them en route! \nTwo of the guided tours (Milly Witkop and Joanna Vassa) will be largely on-foot involving up to a 1.4 miles (30 minutes) walking between shops. The third and fourth guided tours (Mary Wollstonecraft and George Loddiges) will use public transport with a maximum walking distance between stops of 0.4 – 0.6 miles (10-15 minutes). \nEach tour will begin at a shop which will provide breakfast for everyone in the group and a chance for you to all get to know each other. You will have about an hour in each shop and walking between shops will be at a leisurely pace to allow for sight-seeing\, local-history telling\, photo-taking and treat-buying. Lunch stops have been worked into each tour. There will be an optional fourth stop at Tribe Yarns in Richmond for any knitters wanting to continue by train to Richmond to visit Tribe Yarns. And we’ll finish off the day with a grand finale cheers\, cast-on and prize-giving at The Jolly Butchers Pub in Stoke Newington. \nGuided Tour Details:
